| Reverse description | Printed in red-orange, the reverse is composed entirely of elaborate guilloche lathe-work arranged in a bilaterally symmetrical layout. Large numeral «50» appears within oval medallions of dense engine-turned ornament at each side, while the country name «REPÚBLICA DE CHILE» is set in a central cartouche flanked by interlocking geometric bands. The printer's imprint «American Bank Note Co. New-York» appears in small type at the lower margins. |
