| 背面描述 | The reverse is printed in black on white paper with a strongly geometric lathe-work design. Two large circular guilloche medallions at left and right each contain the bold numeral '50'; between them, a central rectangular vignette encloses a landscape scene with a ship at sea, framed by fine engine-turned borders. The word 'BANCO' arches across the top centre, and the three-line legend 'NACIONAL • REPÚBLICA • COLOMBIA' runs along the lower margin in capital serif lettering. |

| 备注 |
The Banco Nacional de la República de Colombia had a turbulent existence — it was forcibly liquidated by the government in 1894 following years of controversy over its note-issuing monopoly and accusations of over-emission. Notes dated 1895 were almost certainly printed before the liquidation was finalized or represent the tail end of authorized production as the bank wound down operations.
ABNC produced the plates from their New York facility, and the quality of engraving reflects their standard commercial contract work of the period — competent, durable, difficult to counterfeit by local means.
