Beschrijving voorzijde The face of this Bono del Tesoro is dominated by a central circular vignette bearing the coat of arms of Honduras — a triangular device with a radiant eye above a landscape, encircled by the legend of the republic and dated 16 September 1821 — flanked by ornate floral and scroll border panels. To the upper left, a handstamp of the República de Honduras is visible alongside a class designation reading '2.ª clase' and a manuscript serial number 'Núm.' at upper right. The lower portion carries three signature lines attributed to El Contador Mayor, El Ministro de Hacienda, and El Tesorero General, with manuscript signatures beneath each.

Opmerkingen

The Gobierno Provisional de Honduras issued this note during a period of acute political instability following the mid-1860s conflicts that repeatedly disrupted Central American governance. Provisional administrations by definition lacked the institutional permanence of an established treasury, which makes any surviving paper from this issuer genuinely rare — most provisional-era Honduran notes either circulated into destruction or were voided and pulped when governments changed hands.

Pick 7B is one of the scarcest entries in the entire nineteenth-century Honduran series. Documentation on exact print runs and redemption history is thin, and the issuing authority itself had a short operational window.
