Obverse description Central shield bearing the Finnish lion rampant, flanked by the spread wings of a double-headed eagle displayed, the heads facing outward without crowns — a distinctive feature of this Civil War issue. The eagle holds an orb and sceptre in its talons. A decorative foliate ornament appears at the base. The mintmark 'S' (Helsinki Mint) is visible in the lower right field. The design is set within a beaded border.
