Two crossed arrows flank the rose in the lower field, with small heart ornaments at the sides. The upper legend ELIZABETH AND PHILIP arcs around the periphery, while the commemorative dates 1947 and 1987 appear in the lower field to either side of the crossed arrows, recording the fortieth anniversary of the royal wedding. |
