| Reverse description | A colourised bust-length portrait of Tom Kitten, the anthropomorphic feline character from Beatrix Potter's 1907 illustrated tale, depicted facing the viewer in a frontal composition. The character is rendered in warm amber and brown tones with tabby striping, wearing a pale blue jacket with buttons visible at the chest. The design, engraved by Emma Noble, faithfully recalls Potter's original watercolour illustration style.
