| 背面描述 | Central device depicts the Falcon of the Plantagenets, a heraldic raptor rendered in high relief, shown passant with wings elevated and displayed, clutching a shield charged with a further falcon motif in the manner of a supporter from the Royal Beasts series. The falcon's detailed plumage and talons are finely engraved, filling the majority of the irregular flan. The denomination inscription 'FIFTY PENCE' is lettered in roman capitals along the lower margin of the field. The frosted design elements stand in vivid contrast to the deeply mirrored proof surfaces. |

The Falcon of the Plantagenets was one of ten Queen's Beasts adopted from the heraldic supporters used at Elizabeth II's 1953 coronation, themselves drawn from medieval royal heraldry accumulated across centuries of English dynastic politics. The Plantagenet falcon specifically derives from badges used by Edward IV in the fifteenth century. Jersey's 2013 issue belongs to a broader Royal Mint-adjacent commemorative program that prompted numerous dependent territories to issue their own silver versions throughout the early 2010s.
