| Opschrift voorzijde | QUEEN ELIZABETH II . ISLE OF MAN . 2018 |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features an elegantly rendered calligraphic inscription presenting the words of the Coronation Oath taken by Queen Elizabeth II at her coronation on 2 June 1953. The text is arranged across multiple lines in a decorative italic script, filling the heptagonal field, with the denomination 'FIFTY PENCE' arcing along the upper periphery. The oath concludes with the words 'So help me GOD', the word 'GOD' rendered in a stylised monumental lettering with a cross motif, lending a ceremonial and devotional character to the design. The mirrored proof fields provide a striking contrast to the frosted lettering. |

The Isle of Man Treasury has issued commemorative silver proofs prolifically enough that individual releases rarely carry much numismatic weight on their own. This one marks the 65th anniversary of Elizabeth II's coronation — the oath itself dating to a ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 2 June 1953, conducted by Archbishop of Canterbury Geoffrey Fisher and witnessed by a television audience of some 27 million in Britain alone, the first coronation broadcast live.
