Beneath the creature, a colourised fossil skull of Temnodontosaurus is depicted in warm amber tones, referencing the specimen discovered by Mary Anning in 1811. To the right, an engraved prehistoric plant fossil provides additional palaeontological context, alongside the engraver's initials RN. A decorative scroll motif appears at the left periphery.
