Reverse description The reverse, designed by David Knapton, features a dynamic and densely composed arrangement of pictographic sporting equipment icons representing the full range of Olympic disciplines contested by Team GB at the Tokyo 2020 Games. Depicted equipment includes a football, boxing glove, bicycle, rowing oars, hockey stick, basketball, sailing vessel, gymnastics rings, table tennis paddle, and numerous others, arranged in a grid-like mosaic across the entire field. To the left, the coloured Team GB lion logo and the inscription TEAM GB appear above the coloured five-ring Olympic symbol. The year 2020 is inscribed to the right of centre, and the engraver's initials DK appear in the lower right field. The composition is rendered in a clean, modern graphic style with polished proof relief.
