| 裏面の説明 | Central design depicts a stylised Royal British Legion poppy rendered in outline, comprising four rounded petals and a circular seed head at the centre, occupying the majority of the heptagonal field. Above the poppy, flanked by small poppy-head devices, the dual dates 1921 | 2021 commemorate the centenary of the Royal British Legion. The denomination FIFTY PENCE appears in the lower legend along the base of the coin. |

Jersey has issued a steady stream of commemorative 50 pence pieces over the decades, but this one marks Remembrance through the Royal British Legion — an organization founded in 1921 whose poppy appeal has raised funds for serving and veteran personnel since Field Marshal Haig endorsed it that same year. The RBL's poppy campaign originated from the poem "In Flanders Fields" and the work of Moina Michael, who first proposed the red poppy as a symbol of remembrance in 1918.
Copper-nickel issues of this type are the circulation-spec versions; the Royal Mint and various Crown Dependencies have produced precious metal counterparts for the same campaign in multiple years, making attribution of specific issues to specific years essential for accurate cataloging.
