Aanvullende informatie

Ascension Island, a British Overseas Territory administered jointly by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and — unusually — the BBC World Service, which operated a relay station there, has long issued commemorative coinage with no meaningful domestic circulation. The 1995 Queen Mother issue appeared as part of a wave of Commonwealth commemoratives marking her 95th birthday, produced almost entirely for the collector market.

The .925 silver version carries KM#7a designation, distinguishing it from the base metal KM#7 issue struck for the same event.
