| Reverse description | The reverse features a bold, large-format numeral '70' filling the majority of the heptagonal field, its surfaces contrasting frosted and polished finishes to create a striking visual effect commemorating the seventy years of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. Within the bowl of the '0' is the royal cypher E II R surmounted by the St. Edward's Crown, rendered in fine detail. Below the royal cypher the date range 1952–2022 is inscribed. The engravers' initials AR DO appear in small letters at the lower edge of the field, referencing designers Andrew Ross and Deborah Osborne.
