Beschrijving voorzijde Fifth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicting the crowned and draped bust of the Queen facing right, wearing a diamond diadem and a pearl necklace. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH II curves along the upper left periphery, with ISLE OF MAN arching along the upper right, and the date 2022 positioned at the base of the coin between two bullet points. The engraver's initials JC appear discreetly at the lower left of the bust. The proof finish presents a deeply mirrored field contrasting with the frosted relief of the portrait.

Aanvullende informatie

The "Send Her Victorious" title draws from the first verse of "God Save the Queen," a line with a quietly complicated history — during the reigns of male monarchs it becomes "Send Him Victorious," and Elizabeth II's 70-year reign made it one of the longest sustained uses of the feminine form in the anthem's recorded history. The Isle of Man, a Crown dependency with its own parliament predating Westminster by centuries, has no obligation to issue coinage mirroring Royal Mint output and has long used jubilee occasions to produce independent commemorative programs through Pobjoy Mint.
