Additional information

The Beatrix Potter 50p series, launched in 2016 to mark the 150th anniversary of Potter's birth, became one of the Royal Mint's most commercially successful modern programs — and one of its most aggressively extended ones. By 2020 the Peter Rabbit issues had appeared across multiple years in both base metal and precious metal formats, creating a layered collector market where year-of-issue distinctions matter considerably. The 2020 silver proof is among the later entries in that run.

Spink reference H85 places this squarely in the commemorative collector series rather than any circulation context.
