| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl drop earring with a pearl necklace, as rendered in the Pobjoy Mint portrait. The legend BRITISH ANTARCTIC TERRITORY is inscribed along the left periphery, with the date 2022 along the right, both in raised capital letters following the curve of the seven-sided flan.
