50 Pence - Elizabeth II Eeyore, Silver Proof

Part of the Royal Mint's extended Winnie-the-Pooh licensing program, this issue draws on A.A. Milne's characters whose intellectual property rights passed through several hands before Disney acquired them — a corporate history that has made official British commemorative use of the characters both possible and commercially aggressive since the 2010s. Eeyore received his own dedicated issue relatively late in the series, trailing the more commercially obvious Pooh and Piglet releases.
