Silhouettes of bats in flight are scattered across the upper field and background, enhancing the gothic atmosphere. To the left, the stylised gothic-script inscription THE VAMPIRE LIVE ON appears in incuse lettering against the coin's metallic ground. The denomination 50 is inscribed in the lower exergue. The overall design by Matt Denton draws on classic horror iconography associated with the Dracula legend. |
