Obverse description Fourth-generation crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY above and FIFTY PENCE 2018 below, with separating dots. The engraver's initials IRB appear beneath the truncation of the bust, set against a deeply mirrored proof field.

Reverse description The reverse features a colorized central image of Queen Elizabeth II seated on the historic Coronation Chair (King Edward's Chair) at Westminster Abbey during her 1953 Coronation, rendered in full colour against a polished field. A curved Latin-script legend arcs around the upper and lower periphery, bearing an excerpt from the Coronation oath sworn by Elizabeth II.
