| Additional information |
The Isle of Man's annual Christmas 50 pence series, running continuously since 1980, is one of the longest-running themed commemorative programs in British numismatics. Each year's design is unique, making the series a genuine annual issue rather than a recycled program — the 2004 silver proof being one entry in a sequence that has attracted dedicated type collectors for decades.
KM#1262a distinguishes the .925 silver proof from the base-metal circulation strike issued the same year.
