Additional information

The Isle of Man's Treasury has issued annual Christmas 50 pence pieces since 1980, making this series one of the longest-running themed annual coinage programs from any British Crown Dependency. The silver proof version of the 1992 issue was struck specifically for the collector market by the Pobjoy Mint, which held the Isle of Man contract and was known for producing small-mintage commemoratives with comparatively high finishing standards for the era.
