| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts a Nativity scene representing the Flight into Egypt, set within an arched architectural frame with flanking pillars. The Virgin Mary is shown seated astride a donkey, accompanied by Joseph who stands to her right bearing a staff, both rendered in fine relief. Two lambs are positioned in the lower foreground on either side of the central group, with haystacks visible in the background. The word CHRISTMAS arcs prominently along the upper field within a decorative banner, and the denomination 50 appears in large numerals at the base of the design. The Pobjoy Mint mark PM is visible in the lower right of the field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Gibraltar's annual Christmas 50p series, running since 1988, was produced specifically for circulation on the Rock and became a collector staple partly because Gibraltar's small population meant relatively few pieces ever saw genuine everyday use. The 2003 issue falls mid-series, well after the program had established its rhythm but before mintage figures for individual dates were widely tracked by mainstream cataloguers — KM documentation for these issues remained inconsistent for years.
