| Reverse description | Central field depicts six geese a-laying, referencing the sixth day of the traditional carol 'The Twelve Days of Christmas.' Six geese are shown in animated poses amid scattered eggs, with a heart motif above and decorative pine cones along the lower rim. The legend CHRISTMAS arcs across the upper field, and the denomination numeral 50 appears at the base, flanked by further decorative elements. The Pobjoy Mint mark PM appears within the design. |

| Additional information |
The Isle of Man has issued annual Christmas 50 pence pieces since 1980, making it one of the longest-running themed coin programs from any British Crown Dependency. The "12 Days of Christmas" series within that broader program assigns a different gift from the carol to each coin in a given year's set. Pobjoy Mint, which held the Manx coinage contract for decades, struck these in considerable quantities for the collector market rather than general circulation.
