Aanvullende informatie

Part of the Royal Mint's longer-running Winnie the Pooh series, this 2021 circulation issue coincided with the centenary of A.A. Milne's creation of the character — the stories first appeared in print in 1926, but Pooh originated in Milne's 1924 poem "Teddy Bear." The Royal Mint had been issuing themed 50p pieces for decades by this point, a program that turned circulation coinage into a collectibles market in its own right, with many pieces pulled from change before ever wearing.

Spink reference H97 places it firmly in the fifth-portrait Elizabeth II sequence, the Jody Clark effigy introduced in 2015.
