Obverse description Fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, diademed and wearing the George IV State Diadem, as designed by Jody Clark. The sovereign's name and royal titles appear as a continuous legend encircling the portrait, with the denomination and date integrated into the inscription. The initials J.C. appear in the field, attributing the portrait to the engraver.
