Obverse description The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modeled by Jody Clark, is depicted in right-facing profile bust, wearing the George IV State Diadem and a drop earring. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a polished field, with fine detail in the hair and crown jewels. The circumferential legend reads: ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 50 PENCE · 2021, disposed around the periphery of the heptagonal flan. The engraver's initials J.C. appear below the truncation of the bust.
