Obverse description The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, depicted with a crowned and draped bust wearing the George IV State Diadem. The portrait, sculpted by Jody Clark, presents the Queen in a mature likeness with fine detail in the diadem and neckline drapery. The circular Latin legend runs around the periphery, separated from the effigy by an inner border, with the date positioned to the lower right of the portrait and the engraver's initials J.C. incused nearby.
