| 正面铭文 | ELIZABETH II·D·G·REG·F·D·50 PENCE·2021· J.C (Translation: Elizabeth the Second by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith) |
| 背面描述 | The reverse features a finely detailed depiction of Owl, the erudite character from Disney's Winnie the Pooh franchise, perched upright upon a rocky surface atop an open book, holding a quill pen in his right talon. The rendering is executed in a sketch-like illustrative style consistent with the original E.H. Shepard-inspired Disney artwork. To the left of the central device, the name 'OWL' appears in a hand-drawn, stylised script, accompanied above by a small bee motif connected by a dashed trail. The copyright notice '©Disney' is inscribed in small lettering near the lower right of the design field. |

This piece belongs to the "Music Legends" series, which the Royal Mint launched with a Queen coin in 2020 — but the owl has nothing to do with that. It is part of a separate "A to Z" wildlife or alphabet-themed run that the Mint used extensively during this period to drive collector sales rather than fill tills. Coins from these runs are almost never found in circulation; they are effectively paid-into-hand products dressed as currency.
The 5th portrait of Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark, was introduced in 2015.
