| 背面描述 | A highly detailed bust of Britannia faces right, helmeted with a plumed corinthian-style helmet adorned with the floral emblems of the United Kingdom — the Tudor rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the shamrock of Ireland, and the leek of Wales. Radiating lines evoking sunbeams fill the background field behind the figure, conveying strength and national pride. The engraver's initials D.L. appear discreetly near the lower right of the bust. The surrounding legend reads BRITANNIA 1/4oz FINE SILVER 999 in the upper arc, with the date 2018 prominently placed in the lower exergue. |

The fifth portrait of Elizabeth II — sculpted by Jody Clark and introduced in 2015 — was the first to be selected through an internal Royal Mint process rather than by the Queen's approval, breaking a convention held since the reign of George VI. Clark was 37 and among the most junior members of the engraving team when his design was chosen, making it an unusual outcome by any institutional measure.
