Additional information

One of twenty-nine 50p coins issued by the Royal Mint for the London 2012 Olympic Games — the largest commemorative series ever produced for a single event in British coinage history. The shooting sports piece was designed by Pravin Valji. Distribution was staggered across 2011 and 2012, with individual sports coins entering general circulation at different times, which drove an early secondary market as collectors chased the full set.
