Obverse description	Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in an ornate intaglio-engraved oval cartouche surmounted by a royal crown, flanked by foliate scrollwork, positioned at right. At centre-left, the denomination panel reads "FIFTY PENCE" within a guilloche-bordered frame with "50p" at left, set against a fine lathe-work underprint. The note is framed by an intricate guilloche border with repeating foliate and geometric motifs throughout.

Reverse description	The reverse is dominated by a large central oval vignette executed in salmon-brown intaglio, composed of an elaborate symmetrical guilloche rosette with interlacing foliate ribbon patterns and a four-lobed geometric centrepiece.
