| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central motif depicting Thunderbird 3, the iconic rocket spacecraft from the classic British television series Thunderbirds, shown in a top-down plan view. The large numeral 3 appears prominently in the background field as a design element. The denomination legend FIFTY PENCE arcs above, while the series title THUNDERBIRDS and the craft designation numeral 3 complete the reverse inscription. The composition is dynamic and detailed, evoking the original mid-20th century science-fiction aesthetic of the programme. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Guernsey has operated as a prolific licensing partner for commemorative 50 pence issues since the 1990s, producing pop-culture themed coins well outside the scope of what the Royal Mint will sanction for UK circulation. Thunderbirds, the Gerry Anderson puppet series that debuted on ITV in 1965, has generated multiple coin series across several issuing authorities. This is the third design in Guernsey's current Anderson Entertainment-licensed run.
The coins are legal tender in Guernsey but effectively never circulate — struck for the collector market from the outset.
