| 背面描述 | The reverse features a bold depiction of Orinoco, the rotund and good-natured Womble character from Elisabeth Beresford's beloved children's series, rendered in a style faithful to the original illustrations. Orinoco is shown full-figure in the centre of the field, wearing his characteristic hat and holding an object, surrounded by stylised Wimbledon Common foliage in the background. The character's name ORINOCO appears in curved lettering along the upper arc of the coin. The denomination numeral 50 is positioned to the lower right of the design within the field. The composition is lively and illustrative in character, consistent with the broader Wombles commemorative series. |
