Beschrijving keerzijde A vivid colored depiction of the young wizard Harry Potter astride a broomstick, lunging forward with outstretched hand to seize one of the enchanted winged keys, inspired by a scene from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The background field features an engraved stone-wall chamber filled with a swarm of incised flying keys, while several colorfully rendered winged keys — in shades of blue, green, and purple — animate the lower and upper portions of the design. The legend THE WINGED KEYS is inscribed along the lower right arc of the heptagonal border.

Aanvullende informatie

The Winged Keys design is part of the Royal Mint's ongoing Harry Potter licensing series, which has generated some of the highest secondary-market premiums of any recent UK commemorative program. This particular piece falls within the post-accession Charles III coinage, meaning the obverse portrait follows the effigy introduced after Elizabeth II's death in September 2022 — the first new UK monarch's portrait in seventy years.
