Obverse description Uncrowned right-facing effigy of King Charles III, modelled in high relief with naturalistic detail to the facial features and hair, as sculpted by Martin Jennings. The portrait occupies the central field of the heptagonal flan, truncated at the shoulder. The circumferential legend reads CHARLES III·D·G·REX·F·D·50 PENCE·2025, with pellet stops separating the elements, and the engraver's initials MJ appear discreetly in the lower field to the right of the portrait.
