Behind and to the right of the saint, a highly detailed Welsh dragon rears upward in an imposing, dynamic posture. In the lower right of the field, daffodils — the national flower of Wales — are rendered in fine relief. A recessed rectangular panel at the base of the design contains the incuse legend ST.
