| 正面描述 | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, after the portrait by Glyn Davies, rendered in high relief against a darkened field. The king is depicted with natural hair and a suit collar, in a contemporary and restrained style without regalia. The circular legend reads CHARLES III • BAILIWICK OF JERSEY • around the upper periphery, with the date 2023 centered at the base, all within the heptagonal coin format. |

Jersey has issued commemorative 50 pence pieces under the authority of the States of Jersey since the island's distinctive heptagonal coinage was introduced in 1969. This Balmoral entry is one in a series marking royal residences — a theme accelerated by Charles III's accession in September 2022, which prompted a wave of new portrait and commemorative issues across British Crown Dependencies. Balmoral itself was purchased privately by Prince Albert in 1852 and remains personal royal property, not a Crown Estate asset — a distinction that carries real legal weight.
