Additional information

The Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace maintains one of the few working royal stables still in active ceremonial use anywhere in the world. Windsor Greys — the pale grey horses reserved exclusively for the monarch — have pulled state carriages at coronations and royal funerals since at least the reign of Queen Victoria, and were among the horses used at Charles III's coronation procession in May 2023.

Guernsey has no native connection to the Mews, but issues commemorative crown-sized 50 pence pieces under its own authority as a British Crown Dependency.
