Obverse description Uncrowned right-facing effigy of King Charles III occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with finely detailed facial features and natural hair, after the portrait by Quentin Peacock. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the left periphery and BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY along the right, both in raised serif lettering following the heptagonal coin shape. The date 2024 appears in the lower exergual area, flanked by two raised dots. The coin's seven-sided equilateral curve heptagon format and polished proof fields frame the portrait with characteristic brilliance.

Reverse description The central field depicts a bold, stylized profile view of the Diamond Jubilee State Coach, selectively gold-plated to highlight the ornate coachwork, spoked wheels, and decorative crown surmounting the roofline, set against polished silver proof fields. The coach design is rendered in a flat, graphic illustrative style accentuating the vehicle's iconic silhouette. Below the coach, a horizontal panel contains the two-line legend THE DIAMOND JUBILEE COACH in raised serif lettering, flanked by fleur-de-lis ornaments. The denomination 50p appears on a lower register, similarly flanked by fleur-de-lis motifs. The overall design is contained within the heptagonal format, with the gold plating providing a striking chromatic contrast to the mirrored silver surfaces.
