| Reverse description | The reverse, designed by John Bergdahl, features a symmetrical arrangement of heraldic elements drawn from the Royal Arms, commemorating the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II. Four quartered shield motifs are disposed around a central St. Edward's Crown: the upper-left shield bears the three passant guardant lions of England; the upper-right bears the rampant lion of Scotland; the lower-left contains the harp of Ireland; and the lower-right again displays the lion of England. Between the shields, the floral emblems of the constituent nations — a Tudor rose for England, a thistle for Scotland, a shamrock for Northern Ireland, and a leek for Wales — are paired with the Royal Cypher EIIR in stylised form. The date 2022 is inscribed at the base of the composition, flanked by the initials EF and CT. |
