| 正面描述 | Unadorned right-facing effigy of King Charles III, sculpted by Martin Jennings, occupies the central field. The portrait depicts the King with natural, uncrowned hair rendered in fine detail, consistent with the definitive effigy adopted for British Commonwealth coinage from 2023. The peripheral legend reads CHARLES III · BAILIWICK OF JERSEY arcing around the upper portion of the coin, with the date 2025 flanked by two raised dots positioned at the lower centre. |

Liberation Day, observed on 9 May each year, marks the end of the German occupation of Jersey in 1945 — the longest occupation of British territory during the Second World War. The island fell in June 1940 after Britain controversially chose not to defend it, a decision that left roughly 66,000 civilians under Nazi control for nearly five years.
Jersey has issued Liberation commemoratives intermittently since the 50th anniversary in 1995. The 80th anniversary issue in 2025 is among the last at which living survivors of the occupation can be expected to attend the annual ceremony at Liberation Square in St. Helier.
