Aanvullende informatie

The State Opening of Parliament following Charles III's accession was delayed from its traditional November date — the new King held it in November 2023, his first as sovereign, having acceded in September 2022. The Isle of Man, a Crown Dependency with its own parliament, the Tynwald, issues its own coinage independently of the Royal Mint, giving it latitude to commemorate events the UK itself does not always strike in silver proof.

Selective gilding on proof issues of this type is applied after striking, targeting specific design elements rather than flooding the entire surface.
