Reverse description Detailed architectural depiction of the Palace of Westminster, home of the British Parliament, presented in a panoramic frontal view filling the central field. Above the building, arching lines suggestive of vaulted Gothic tracery radiate toward the upper periphery, framing the composition. Additional information

The State Opening of Parliament depicted here marks Charles III's first such ceremony as monarch, held in November 2022 — the first King's Speech in over seventy years, given that the ritual address had been the Queen's Speech throughout the entirety of Elizabeth II's reign. The Isle of Man, as a Crown Dependency, operates outside the UK Parliament but maintains the Crown as head of state, giving Tynwald — one of the world's oldest continuous parliaments — its own distinct constitutional relationship with the ceremony being commemorated.

Struck at 22-carat in a 15.5g flan, this sits in the same specification family as the traditional British gold sovereign series.
