Obverse description Uncrowned right-facing effigy of King Charles III, modelled by sculptor Martin Jennings, occupying the central field of the heptagonal flan. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and facial features, the truncation of the bust falling at the lower rim. The circular legend reads CHARLES III·D·G·REX·F·D·50 PENCE·2026 around the periphery, with the engraver's initials MJ appearing at the lower right of the truncation.
