Additional information

Guernsey issues commemorative 50 pence pieces under its own authority as a Crown Dependency, though the coins hold no circulation status on the British mainland. The Sword of Offering used in Charles III's May 2023 coronation at Westminster Abbey is the same sword carried at the coronations of both his mother and grandfather — a jewelled blade dating to the early 17th century, made during the reign of James I.
