Reverse description The reverse, designed by Natasha Jenkins, presents a bold architectural depiction of the interior of Westminster Abbey, rendered in precise line engraving that captures the Gothic nave's pointed arches, ribbed vaulting, triforium arcading, and traceried clerestory windows. Centred within a prominent ogival arch is the royal cypher of King Charles III — the interlaced letters 'C' and 'R III' surmounted by the St Edward's Crown — symbolising the coronation held at Westminster Abbey on 6 May 2023. The designer's initials 'NJ' appear to the lower right of the field. The composition is unlettered, allowing the architectural grandeur of the Abbey and the royal cypher to stand as the sole decorative elements.
