Reverse description A charming Christmas winter scene occupies the entire field: at centre-right, a large smiling snowman wearing a top hat and scarf holds a broom-handle twig in his right hand; to his left stands a young girl in a long coat and boots, accompanied by a seated dog on a lead at her feet. Behind the girl, another figure pulls a sledge laden with a Christmas tree toward a snow-covered church or castle in the middle distance. In the lower left corner a small rabbit is visible. Decorative snowflake motifs are scattered across the field at left and right. The denomination legend FIFTY PENCE arcs along the upper periphery in bold raised lettering.

Additional information

Guernsey has operated as a Crown Dependency with its own independent coinage rights since the 19th century, issuing currency distinct from both Jersey and the United Kingdom. The Charles III effigy here follows Jody Clark's portrait, which has appeared on British and dependent territory coinage since 2015.

Beyond that, there is little of numismatic consequence to add. Seasonal collector issues of this kind are produced in limited runs for the gift market and rarely enter circulation.
