This particular piece marks the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, with the "Battle over Kent" designation referencing the summer and autumn of 1940 air campaign — Kent's proximity to occupied France made it the primary corridor for Luftwaffe incursions, and its residents became involuntary witnesses to the largest aerial engagement in history.
