Additional information

Issued in the immediate wake of Elizabeth II's death in September 2022, this piece marks the first time "God Save the King" had been the official anthem of the British Crown in over seventy years — since the accession of Elizabeth II in February 1952 reversed the gendered lyric. The Isle of Man, a Crown dependency with its own coining authority through the Pobjoy Mint's successor arrangements, moved quickly to capture that transition in silver.
