| Obverse description | Light green and purple note centred on an intaglio vignette of a traditional Macanese lion dance performer in full costume accompanied by a second figure, set over a guilloche underprint. The bank title 'BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO' and 'MACAU' appear at the top in Portuguese and Chinese characters, with the denomination 'CINQUENTA PATACAS' and its Chinese equivalent '伍拾圓' inscribed centrally. Decree references and two signature lines occupy the lower portion, flanked by the numeral '50' and ornamental border patterns on each side. |
